The Nanaimo Clippers were able to get back into the win column on Sunday afternoon beating the Wenatchee Wild 5-2.
Both teams were kept off the scoresheet in the first period however at 4:28 in the second period Nanaimo’s Robby Drazner would pop one in to the the Clippers started. At 17:33 MacKenzie Merriman would add one to give the Clippers the 2-0 lead.
In the third Wenatchee tried to climb back scoring two goals but it wasn’t enough as the Clippers would score three in the period including one from goaltender Jordan Naylor.
With the win the Nanaimo Clippers have clinched a playoff spot.
